Wish I Had Some Yarn

Andrew's car trouble this past weekend was actually a blessing in disguise (for me), because it forced me out of bed early Monday morning (6:45 am!) and out the door to take him to work by 7:30. That left me two full hours before I had to clock in at my job, which I utilized as photo shoot time. It was Martin Luther King Day, so school was out and I decided to head over to my old high school for "scenery". Made this decision with the old handball court in mind. There was a graffiti mural covering the huge cement wall. I would always stare at it in gym class (the only colorful and interesting thing about gym. I was probably simultaneously being pelted in the head with kick balls during these moments. You know the opening credits of Daria, when she's playing volleyball? Yeah, that's me). Anyway, they tore that down. I guess a lot can change in seven years. That didn't discourage me though. The morning light was so nice, I had just received my new camera remote in the mail a few days prior, and although it was fifteen degrees outside - it was pretty invigorating! I was definitely in a great mood for the rest of the day. Could've been that Centereach Cougar pride! (Definitely wasn't, high school was weird man.)

The moment I laid eyes on this shirt, I knew it had to be mine. That's how most of my purchases begin, actually. But Forever 21's "Give to love, love to give" collection is special. They're selling a bunch of really sweet terry tops and tees featuring puppies and kittens. You're in love, right? Also, a dollar from every purchase is donated to the ASPCA. The guaranteed minimum contribution from F21 is $10,000. That's incredible, and the ASPCA is so deserving for all of their efforts to end animal abuse. Because that's something that should never happen. Ever. I mean, look at that kitten on my top. He just wishes he had some yarn. So do I, most of the time. My hands feel very idle when not attached to a crochet hook. Check out the rest of Forever 21's collection here.

In other news, I just got asked to be a fashion model. Yep, that's right. You can catch my legs on the Anytime Costumes website, modeling some stylish tights.

  4. Great vest! I tried to cut sleeves off a denim jacket I found at Goodwill but the size seems a bit off. I should find a smaller, child's size instead haha
